The RTS Link Station is a major national public project connecting Malaysia and Singapore and sets a new level in the historical relationship between the two neighbouring countries. This competition is configured to seek the best design solutions and input for the 3-storey elevated station façade design.

'A TRANSIT THAT INSPIRES PEOPLE TO HIGHER ASPIRATION.’
The facade of the RTS station is inspired by the waving pattern found at the Malay Archipelago. With the adaptable facade system and it's respponsiveness, the building is parametrically designed, featured by it's heat insulated ETFE materials at it's dome.
CONCEPT SKETCH

SITE SYNTHESIS
Surrounded with existing building and its natural feature. A rounded facade is proposed to make a more friendy traffic approach. While the circular ellipsoid dome optimising the views from inside out. The top of the roof should be protected from sum radiation as per analysis.
